  • Comment: I hate the idea of putting normal mosquito repellant all over myself. These patches are awesome. The instructions says to apply 1 hour before or maybe even 2, but I noticed that it starts being effective after about 20 minutes.

  • Comment: I don't know if the product actually works, but it smells strongly of urine, like a baby's wet diaper. My daughter wouldn't keep it on because it "smelled like pee." I sat next to my son and asked "what smells like "pee?", forgetting he had the patch on. Unpleasant enough that I'm not sure I'll keep trying it because I don't want to walk around smelling like I wet my pants.

  • Comment: So I have major issues with bug bites, they find me wherever I go, they love me, I don't love them!! Once I had to leave my friends birthday party in central park because i was being ATTACKED!!! even though i sprayed OFF all over...everyone else was fine, but i had to run home!!

    So, I tried these patches and was skeptical every time thinking, well maybe there just aren't any mosquitos out tonight...but that wasn't the case, I've used it enough times to know IT WORKS! especially last night, my friend was getting bit like crazy and i wasnt which was nuts...i told her about my patch and gave one to her...not only did they stop biting her but the ones that just bit her didn't hurt/itch as much.

    I just ordered more, thanks don't bite me bug patches!!!

    oh and yes it does smell like vitamins but who cares...i put it on my leg last night instead of my arm which helped with the smell a lot.

  • Comment: A few weeks ago I was enjoying a backyard BBQ and went home covered in 24 mosquito bites. It was about this time that I discovered I am allergic to mosquito bites, so this was not the most fun experience of my life.

    In preparation for an upcoming trip to Costa Rica, where the mosquitos are not only numerous, but also carry horrifying diseases, I started researching mosquito deterrents. I ordered the Don't Bite Me patch, and then decided to test it out before trusting it as the only mosquito repellent on my trip.

    I applied the patch according to the directions, and then waited almost an entire day before going back to my friend's wooded backyard (where the original mosquito attack took place). I wore shorts, fully exposing my legs to the elements, as they were the first time. However, this time I also wore an Ex Officio insect shield bandanna around my neck. By the end of about 2 hours, I had only 3 bug bites, roughly 87% better than my first, patch-less experience.

    Overall, this is way better than it was the first time, but it pretty much only takes one bad mosquito bite to get dengue fever or be infected with botfly larvae. So, I plan on using the patch, the bandanna, and getting some bug repellent wipes, just to be safe.

  • Comment: My 9yo has ADHD. Her medication changes her body PH and smell. She attracts butterflies, mosquitos, and ticks. She goes to summer camp where it is infested with bugs.
    The patch is waterproof and she does not have to apply bug spray after swimming. I put the patch on in the morning and take if off when we get home. It does slightly irritate her skin not itchy just gets a little pink. I put 1 patch and a half on her and the other half on my 6yo. Half seems to be plenty for my youngest as she is not on medication. I love that its safe and it works.
    They do smell a little like vitamins but nothing that they notice very mild.
